- You're not limited by the amount of cash in your pocket and you don't have to worry about carrying a lot of cash or wasting time counting it out.
- It's like having exact change wherever you go, so you don't have to worry about carrying around a lot of cash or fishing for coins
- You are in control because your PayPass never leaves your hand at checkout or your wallet.
- With PayPass you get better record keeping of all your purchases than using cash for those small everyday itemsthen using cash for those small everyday items
- Its fast and ideal at places where speed is essential, coffee shops, cinemas and fast food restaurants to unattended locations such as vending machines and car parking.
- Your ATM visits are kept to a minimum, you already have the cash you need on your card

 | Where can I use my PayPass? |
 |

Anywhere that Maestro is accepted and you see this symbol [insert PayPass symbol] at checkout, you can tap to pay with your PayPass card.
This includes fast food restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, cinemas, and more.
If you don't see the symbol, your PayPass card can still be used by entering in your PIN at the checkout, like any normal MasterCard cards.

To make a purchase simply tap your PayPass card on the "contactless" payment reader at the checkout of participating retailers.

 | How close does the "tap" have to be to the checkout reader? |

Typically, at the checkout when you tap your card/device must be within an inch or two of the "contactless symbol" on the payment reader on the counter.
Do note that if you have more than one PayPass card in your wallet, you should remove the specific card you wish to use to pay.

 | How will purchases appear on my monthly statement? |

Purchases made with PayPass will be displayed on your statement just like any other purchase you make with a regular MasterCard / Maestro card.

PayPass uses a hidden embedded computer chip and radio frequency antennae. After you tap your PayPass at checkout, payment details are sent wirelessly to the MasterCard network.
Moments after you tap, you will receive payment confirmation and are on your way.*

 | Do I have to treat my PayPass in any special way? |

Treat your PayPass as you would any credit or debit card. Always know where your PayPass is and keep it in a safe place. Check often to make sure none or your cards are missing.
And be sure to keep a record of all your card numbers, expiration dates, and emergency phone numbers in a safe place.

Yes. With secure encryption technology, PayPass is as safe as your regular card.
- You are in control - your PayPass never leaves your hands to make a payment
- No accidental payments - your PayPass must be extremely close to the reader at checkout to work
- Not billed twice - even if you tap more than once at checkout, you'll only get billed once for your purchase

 | Why don't I use my PIN? |

To ensure that using PayPass is as simple and convenient as cash, retailers that accept PayPass do not require you to enter you PIN for small purchases (under £10).
However, for your protection, you may be asked from time to time to enter your PIN to verify that you are the card owner.

 | What do I do if my PayPass has been lost or stolen? |

If you have lost your card or suspect unauthorized activity on your account, stop using your PayPass and contact the financial institution that issued your card immediately.
