If you’ve never used Maestro in a shop before, here’s a guide to tell you what happens in three easy steps:
Insert your card into the terminal.
Check the amount is correct and enter your PIN on the keypad.1
Press Enter’ ... and your goods are paid for.
That’s it. What could be simpler?
Tip: keep your receipt for your records. You will see the transaction detailed on your next bank statement.
1In some countries, you may be asked to sign a receipt (rather than enter your PIN) to complete your Maestro transaction.
